About the panelists

Sophie Bessis, who holds a degree in history, was a journalist before devoting herself to the study of North-South relations, and more specifically sub-Saharan Africa and the Maghreb, as well as the status of women in the Arab world. She is the author of a dozen books, including a biography of Bourguiba, former Tunisian president and a major player in the country's independence, and Histoire de la Tunisie - De Carthage à nos jours (2022).

Wahid Ferchichi is a professor of public law at Carthage University and co-founder of the Tunisian Association for the Defence of Individual Freedoms.

Samaa Wakim is an artist, choreographer and cultural manager working in Palestine. She is a graduate of the drama department at Haifa University. Her performance Losing it is presented as part of Dream City, from Tunis to Brussels.

 Adnen el Ghali is an architect and town planner, with a degree in political science and a doctorate in history. A member of the Association de Sauvegarde de la Médina (ASM) de Tunis and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), he works as a consultant in territorial and urban studies.
